Who are we?
The association ” la Plume Caladoise ” gathers inhabitants who are passionate about their city and who wish to make people discover its traditions and its art of “good living”. The association has published two books available in bookstores ” Tu sais que tu es Caladois quand… ” for an easy and light discovery of our region. By becoming a member of the Greeters of France, it now offers a lively discovery of the most beautiful treasures of La Calade with quality, personal and friendly Greeters walks through the city! SUNSET IN BELLEROCHE
This plateau of five thousand souls, almost a village, benefits from an extraordinary greenery and a breathtaking view of the Beaujolais hills, especially at dusk. Heir to the Baron de Belleroche’s castle, the bridle path of chestnut trees tinted white in spring and ochre in autumn keeps the memory of the pond where people used to skate in winter, now replaced by a sports stadium and soon an urban park. The tour of the district will allow you to discover the great names still present on the buildings, Jean Bonthoux, Pierre Montet, Maurice Utrillo, and many other more contemporary characters who make today the life and the animation of this district in full change.
