Each of the Greeters destinations in France are run and managed by local players: Associations or Tourist Entities (Tourist Offices or Departmental Tourism Committee). They are all members of the FFG (France Greeters Federation) and as such respect the same operating rules. They follow the values and ethics defined globally by IGA (International Greeter Association). FFG coordination ensures the pooling of our tools, our global presence on the Web and social networks and the sharing of our communication programs.

My historical and contemporary Rennes
What led me to be a greeter was the pleasure of showing people around my city and practicing the languages I speak: English, Spanish, Italian and a little Chinese.
Generally I show the historic part of the city, an ultra majority demand. I give addresses of bars, restaurants and the cultural program of the moment and in particular, the free ones.
I also like to show courtyards or secret gardens, contemporary architecture, art galleries, parks, and the mosaic artist Odorico.

Rennes eclectic while wandering on foot, by bike or by running
Breton by adoption, I fell in love with Brittany and in particular the city of Rennes. Sporty in nature, I offer an eclectic stroll in Rennes by strolling on foot, by bike (bike rental possible in the city center) or by running (for the more athletic!), through the emblematic monuments.
I do not forget, if you wish, to share a convivial moment over a drink and/or a meal at various addresses that I appreciate and even in the tradition of Rennes (must visit the Lices market on Saturday morning to taste the famous pancake-sausage).
I like to share my vision of architectural heritage with modern life in Rennes! Living on the outskirts of Rennes, I can also take you on a bike ride along the canal, in the countryside of Rennes. Allow half a day to explore Rennes.

Unmissable and Unusual
I have lived in Rennes since my college years, now 68 years old, I have seen the city evolve over the past 50 years…. with more services of places of culture and leisure.
I suggest a stroll around the city center between unmissable places (the lices, parliament square, thabor garden…) and discovery of more or less unusual places according to your wishes (st martin meadows and tanners’ garden, the ‘hotel dieu, hotel pasteur, MUR, Odorico achievements…). A walk of about 1h30.

Stroll through Rennes yesterday and today
Having lived in Rennes for around thirty years, I like to share, hence my desire to be a greeter. I will show you my city, at the crossroads of Ille and Vilaine. I suggest you take a stroll through the historic places of the city (Mordelaise gates, half-timbered houses, etc.). On Saturday, the lists market is unmissable. This is the opportunity to eat the famous “a sausage pancake”.
We will talk about what makes Rennes’ identity, events, architecture, culture. We can stroll around town, along the canal or in a park. I will adapt to your wishes during this 2-hour walk which can end with a convivial moment if you wish.
