AVIGNON PROVENCE
GREETER WALK
COME FOR A GREET WITH A LOCAL
Greet in Avignon Provence with one of its inhabitants, a Greeter
Avignon in Provence, its international theater festival, its Palais des Papes, its ramparts, its bridge (of Avignon!), its river, Provence with its vineyards and its lavender fields… Yes! But, not only that … Come and discover with a resident, a “local”, a city, a region open to the world, rich in its historical past, its landscape from Sorgues to Ventoux, its streets, its squares in the shade of plane trees, sound of cicadas, under the incomparable blue sky of Provence. An atmosphere to share, in good company!
The Greeters welcome you, they don’t know everything, but they know a lot about where they live and will be able to find the right addresses for you according to your cultural, artistic, sporting… and gastronomic tastes.
Come for a walk, nose in the air and breathe!

My city Avignon, magnifique
Native of Carpentras, capital of Comtat Venaissin, I have lived in the heart of Avignon since 1978…
And during my free time, even today, I continue to discover this magnificent city full of history which, in addition to its papal palace and its bridge, is full of unsuspected little squares and alleys. I would be very happy to introduce them to you during your stay in Vaucluse. So, I’ll see you soon!

ALAIN
Stroll around Avignon at your own pace
Come and discover with Alain, from the top of the gardens overlooking the river, the jewels of the Provençal landscapes and understand this very special city, Avignon, with its astonishing past between France and the property of the Popes. A place of passage between the Mediterranean and northern Europe, with this Rhône valley at the same time, an eternal traffic corridor, from the Roman roads to our “national 7” and also an impassable barrier between Provence and Occitanie! Stroll at your own pace, nose in the air and discover unusual places along the alleys and small squares. Alain will share with you his taste for landscapes, architecture, cultures of all countries and his knowledge of the most beautiful surrounding villages which he discovers and rediscovers every day on foot, running or by bike!

My discoveries in Vaison
After discovering the region (Drôme, Vaison, Lubéron, etc.) during a vacation on
several summers and more fond of natural spaces than the city, the idea of coming to settle there was born.
Professional changes allowed me to take the plunge.
Now based in Vaison La Romaine, this is the opportunity for you to discover and share this magnificent corner of Provence in Haut Vaucluse.
