Discover the destination “Saint-Brevin, raw emotions” with one of its inhabitants
To discover the secrets of Saint-Brevin and its surroundings, a territory between the Loire and the Ocean, there is nothing like meeting its inhabitants!
Our Greeters are volunteers. They want to share their view of their place with others, tourists or locals.
Who are we?
The “Greeters” are volunteers who welcome free tourists or locals for an authentic meeting with a local during a walk. They show and speak in an unusual, original and personal way about ‘their’ corner of which they are proud and passionate.
It is a form of participatory tourism. All the Greeters networks in France are grouped within the Federation France Greeters.
The international network of greeters (International Greeters organization) unites the host associations created in sixteen countries on the model of the New York Big Apple Greeter Association, founded in the 1990s.
Meet our local Greeters, in love with Saint-Brevin and the South Estuary, and discover their favorites and the curiosities of our region.
Sign up for great meetings in perspective and good moments of exchange!

Each of the “Greeter de France” destinations is led and managed by a local actor: Association, collective of residents or tourist entity (Tourist Offices, Departmental Tourism Committee). These actors are all members of the FFG (France Greeters Federation) and as such respect the same operating rules. They follow the values and ethics defined globally by IGA (International Greeter Association). The management and coordination of the France Greeters Federation ensures the pooling of our processes and tools, our global presence on the Web and social networks as well as the sharing of our communication programs.

Route along the Loire
Walk of about 2 hours by bike along the Estuary. From Saint-Brevin, meet the strange Serpent d’Océan before leaving along the Loire to discover the traditional fisheries and the industrial environment of the north bank which rubs shoulders with the preserved spaces of the marshes south of the Loire.
FRANÇOISE
A The discovery of the estuary
From Mindin to the tip of the Imperlay, we will follow the Loire. Long difficult to cross, the Loire has been a wealth but also a natural border that has strongly impacted the life of the people of Brevin. The ferry, the train, the bridge marked stages in the development of St Brevin. The estuary is also a space for sharing waters, favorable to fishing which is the origin of our traditional fisheries which embellish the landscape with the bridge as a backdrop. So many themes on which we will be able to exchange on the course.

Philippe
Is Paimboeuf “always” an island?
Is Paimboeuf “always” an island? This is in any case, what Philippe will try to demonstrate to you, by inviting you to discover the town, throughout this journey that will follow in a way, the tour of the island. More than an invitation to unfold the thread of the great history of the former outport of Nantes, his words will raise awareness of the observation, the perception of the landscape and its environment, the feeling of this clever mixing between river, marsh and land. The small stories are not far from the Great, the paimblotine anecdotes will enrich the exchanges.
A small piece of land wedged between the Loire and the marsh, Paimboeuf is an island of the Loire that deserves more than a temporary stopover. A place of life rich in its privileged location in the heart of the estuary, Paimboeuf is above all a land of encounter.
