Go for a walk with a resident of Maine Saosnois, a Greeter
Some locals : Greeters, accompany you free of charge in your discovery of Maine Saosnois and enlighten you on the people of the country, the stories and legends and all the historical, architectural and natural elements of the places, which they have been close to for a long time. Taking a walk with a greeter is an original and exciting way to discover the territory! This experience allows you to get away from the tourist traps, learn thousands of local anecdotes, and spend a friendly moment with a local. Eleven greeters currently welcome you to Maine-Saosnois and offer around twenty discovery tours around Mamers and Saint-Cosme-en-Vairais. Our volunteer inhabitants adapt to your desires to offer you personalized walks!
Maine Saosnois: where & what is it?
It is a community of communes around Mamers, on the Sarthe and the Orne. Its geography marks the end of the Perche, a natural region to which it is also historically close. Named Pagus Sagonensis or Saxonensis, the area forms part of Maine.

Our proposal will depend on your choices and the information you give us on the registration form.

Each of the “Greeter de France” destinations is led and managed by a local actor: Association, collective of residents or tourist entity (Tourist Offices, Departmental Tourism Committee). These actors are all members of the FFG (France Greeters Federation) and as such respect the same operating rules. They follow the values and ethics defined globally by IGA (International Greeter Association). The management and coordination of the France Greeters Federation ensures the pooling of our processes and tools, our global presence on the Web and social networks as well as the sharing of our communication programs.

Between the rocky coast of the Iroise Sea, with a view of the Molène archipelago, and ribinoù (small bocage paths in Breton), discover two very different facets and yet so close to our territory. Blue and green mix together to form a single word in Breton: glaz.
