Each of the “Greeter de France” destinations is led and managed by a local actor: Association, collective of residents or tourist entity (Tourist Offices, Departmental Tourism Committee). These actors are all members of the FFG (France Greeters Federation) and as such respect the same operating rules. They follow the values and ethics defined globally by IGA (International Greeter Association). The management and coordination of the France Greeters Federation ensures the pooling of our processes and tools, our global presence on the Web and social networks as well as the sharing of our communication programs.

How to become a Greeter in Avignon Provence?
Our greeters are not alone in nature, they are part of local communities of at least 5 greeters. These are communities of residents, associations or tourist organizations such as the Tourist Office. All follow the same Greeters Charter and the same values. Come and join us !

Fishermen’s quarter in Valras
Having arrived in Valras Plage and Sérignan a few years ago, I would like to invite you to stroll, either on foot or by bike, through the fishing district of Valras. This district has made the reputation of this beautiful seaside resort, which has managed to preserve its authenticity, as much through the names of the streets and avenues as through the squares and leisure areas.
It represents the illustrious figures who shaped this seaside resort. I would like to explain to you the trompe l’oeil painting techniques that decorate this resort.
Together, we can travel to Sérignan and observe the numerous and very colorful street art frescoes created using different techniques by well-known artists.

Denis, a retired teacher, will show you on foot this seaside resort full of charm and surprises: the magnificent beach, the old chalets, the fishermen’s houses, the covered markets and the oyster shops, the mouth of the Orb, the protected area of Orpellières.
